Dude this tour was life changing, I can’t even exaggerate.
I bought the tickets the moment they were dropped. I got 4 for $600-$800 which was pretty awesome considering how close we were. I did some cool stuff like Meow Wolf and Six Flags before the concert.
The stadium was so efficient and I got in without a hitch. Everyone was so friendly and polite and the atmosphere was nothing like anything I’ve ever seen or experienced in my life. I wish I could do it again.
But like most people I found this music in my middle school years and it just was something so personal to me. I wanted to see the last tour but I was in high school and unable to even consider going. Regardless it was so awesome.
The story was easy to follow and it was real, in the sense that this is the sort of thing North America is facing. Yes there was comedy and theatrics sprinkled in but the message was in your face.
Another thing I wanna mention were the small details this showing had; the one person surviving execution and getting a car with a goat, the dictator with a cowboy hat, and of course the jokes and exchanges the band had with the audience. Hell, the encore was the best thing ever. I’ve never been to a rock concert and it was so cool to experience an encore and it was such a long concert which I really loved.
I got to trade with people, I gave people some drawings and I got some super cool Kandi. Everyone’s outfits were awesome. Oh and the band looked even cooler in person. Plus I got to act silly and no one looked at me weird for it. I definitely found one of my spaces despite hating the political climate of Texas—which may have been as to why MCR showed up there.
The merch line was a little annoying but thanks to early access and being there at the right time I got my goodies within an hour and with plenty of time to get ready and arrive to the concert two and a half hours early.
Yeah I was going but so was that awkward tween with all that angst in their heart was the one who went. The experience was ethereal; especially because I went with people who matter and have experience that ache and angst, or they simply love the music and the people behind it. But it was my partner’s first ever concert and it will never be topped because I proposed to him and he said yes!
So yeah, pretty awesome.
