Eyes dull.
Stomach full
from the excess
of last night's soul.
She attempts
to avoid
skin
touching
the
chill of
the floor.
It isn't long before
she sentences herself
to thirty more
hours.
A self prescribed
bed ridden existence.
Pity swarms in
tiny circles
around her skull.
She can be found
swiping imaginary
bugs
crawling on jawline plateaus
that end at the chin.
If you're slow, keep up!
She's the fucking monster
from the story books.
Feigning damsel in distress
characteristics.
He climbs the tower
with one hand,
a balancing act
of cheeses and desserts
on the other.
She swallows that
and much more.
A plastic ringed finger
beckons the face
of
momentary enchantment
to come closer.
Her youthful demeanor
quickly dissipates.
I want to scream but I can't.
Anyway, he won't hear.
And before
I can
effectively intervene,
the entrails have already been
quietly swept clean
under the bed
to rot.

Ahhh thank you! Yeah I’ve been really trying to work on imagery. Usually everything I write is just a long stream of consciousness that bores everyone to tears.

I just realized that I wrote this like a couple days before watching that horrible 80's movie Troll. God that movie was so terrible. I don't know why I agreed to sit through it, it wasn't my nostalgia trip that's for sure.
