Tried out a North Jersey Mexican restaurant

The food was delicious; we got chips and guacamole as an appetizer, I got some chicken tacos for an entree, and my sister and I split some flan. I'll explain everything I tried out below.

  • Chips and guac: The chips and guacamole also came with three sauces on the side, with varying levels of spice. The guac was pretty tasty at first, but wasn't my favorite. The mildest sauce was probably my favorite, but I also wasn't a fan of the other two.
  • Pollo tacos: These were delicious! The tacos had some pico de gallo in it, which I thought mixed well with the grilled chicken inside. It was just a bit messy, but what flour tortilla taco isn't.
  • Pork tacos: These tacos came with pickled onions (at least that's what my sister said) and it tastes sooooo good with the pork.
  • Taquitos: These were spicy, but I actually enjoyed the spice on this rather than the chips! Probably explains why I don't tend to like spicy chips like purple Doritos or Takis.
  • Flan: Idk what else to say except it was tasty.

Honestly, if you're rich enough to spend $25+ for each person, then go ahead and check out Orale Mexican Kitchen in Jersey City! I think they have another location near Atlantic City, too.

damn the place sounds pretty neat! sadly most cuisine-specific restaurants in my area are trash and always owned by people who’ve got no idea what they’re doing lol. also i love messy food, the messier you’ve gotta get to eat something the better it is. i don’t care if i end up looking like someone who just ate trash out of a pig sty, if the food is that good it’s worth it.
