How To Get Back To The Internet Everyone Loved.

When I was growing up it was all about not doing drugs or being violent. People shouted the N-word and every slur in every site and lobby 24/7 and that was during the same years that everyone misses so desparately. Now kids are all about not hurting someone else's feelings/bullying. The problem is if THAT is your pinnacle of morality and you are talking to everyone at once (a.k.a. public internet) you WILL ALWAYS OFFEND SOMEONE.

I've seen someone get banned because they said "There's a spider in my room.", and someone else said "OMFG! i'm so offended i'm arachnaphobic! :'("

Also guy got his microsoft account BANNED and lost thousands of dollars in games and thousands of hours of progress because he changed his name to "Osama Ben Laggin" and that was apparently too offensive? Even more stupid? The guy made another account and repurchased his games!!!

TRUE TOLERANCE is tolerating all ideas like racism, marxism, capitalism, etc. etc. But what we have now is a bunch of people who are trying to signal that they are virtuous non-bullies. When they are bullying everyone and making it 100x harder for people to engage in ANY meaningful conversation. We have to work together to solve problems as a country, but if we can't talk to each other about politics if you unfriend or block anyone ""on the other side"". You furthermore won't convince that other side to change their mind by blocking them either.

Tl;DR 3 problems:

1. Way more users are intolerant crybabies.

2. Admins/Mods coddle to intolerant crybabies and or are also intolerant crybabies.

3. The main system/powers that be strike people down for even the slightest infringements of being "offensive" which is such a vast and vague thing basically every user is guilty of at all times. This is to get people conform, not stick their necks out, and not talk to each other so they can steam roll us on what matters like privacy, economics, control, transport, etc. As we fight over which bathroom to use or white privilege/oppression or boomer vs zoomer or rich vs poor intersectionalized infighting.

Tl;DR Solutions:

1. Stop being so offended, surround yourself with people with diverse sets of thought and ways of thinking and figure out how they got to that way of thinking. People's opinions are controlled by the data they have access to.

2. Put counter pressure on mods and admins to not ban/censor people.

3. Don't support any business/company that steals from/bans people for being "offensive".

I get what you’re saying and I partially agree. However there are something’s that people should be banned for honestly and if they had it to where a lot of people wouldn’t be banned then imagine the stuff that could be here yk? But I do understand your point.
