so the bill passed!!! Im disgusted, Im icked out, i feel like vomiting. Whatever. The american people arent important to this admin obviously sometimes you just gotta murder millions of americans in cold blood because you want to help cut taxes for your billionaire friends I get it! /s

my problem is with the republicans, the deficit hawks who were doing all that fence sitting and posturing in the house of representatives. You genuinely disgust me. You think you get off because you said: "ummm guys maybe we shouldnt be increasing the deficit by 5 trillion dollars! Thats not what i asked for!!"? LIKE NO BITCH YOU HAVE NO BACKBONE YOU KNOWINGLY ADMIT THAT THIS BILL SUCKS FOR YOUR CONSTITUENTS AND THEN PROCEED TO FUCK THEM OVER WITHOUT EVEN FIGHTING FOR IT AT ALL.

Its DISGUSTING. Absolutely completely GROSS that someone can so obviously and blatantly try and cover their own asses by pretending to be on the side of "the people" when they cant even stand up to this obviously horrible piece of legislature.

And people are happy that the AI regulations arent in the bill? When the ONLY piece of good news coming out of this bill IS LITERALLY THAT SOMETHING GOT TAKEN OUT OF IT I think its pretty obvious that the bill should never be considered in the first place! Obviously!

For anyone who hasn't read the bill if nothing else matters just please stay safe. I'm praying for everyone out there who's going to get kicked off food assistance or medicaid and that all the local hospitals in your area stays open and functioning.

Well one thing to look forward to is that this bill has the lowest approval rating of any bill since like the 1990s and every single other bill that got passed that was THIS unpopular caused such a dramatic swing during midterms that the entire country's politics basically flip flopped.

TL;DR yapping about how much I hate republicans who wont stand up for their values! I cant wait for them to lose both the house and senate in the midterms! (probably not but heres to hoping i guesssss)

They honestly do not have much backbone at all. But my scuffle isnt with republicans in general, its with conservatives. Republicanism by itself isn’t the issue, it’s just an ideology of how the government should be run, but its the way conservatives have bent the narritive of republicanism. Now do I think republicanism is a good government? No. It’s a heavily flawwed idelogy, just like most common ideologies. However, conservatives have time and time again voted for anyone who hates who they hate, but when it comes back to bite them in the ass, it’s apparently not their fault.

Do please correct me if you have any flaw with my statement, but that’s just how I see it (and no im not standing up for republicans, many of them are conservatives. Fuck conservatives they can kiss my ass). Cuz I’m not exactly an expert and I can’t vote obviously. I’d like to hear your input

Mmmm I’m pretty sure the difference is that republicans are a political party in the US. They don’t really have all the same values as a normal conservative but their ideals do align quite a bit. My personal issue is like conservatives at least have values. Like they believe in small government and cutting taxes because they believe that companies, in a competitive market, will hire more if they have the money. Republicans on the other hand (not the moderates btw but like the HARD republicans who are far on the right) don’t really seem to have the same understanding of what they want exactly? Like they advocate for stronger border security but then don’t know what to do when there’s nobody to work the jobs nobody wants. Or they advocate for tariffs on foreign nations to bring manufacturing back to the US but then when markets begin crashing they add exceptions because they can’t withstand the pain of short term pain. Or they ask for tax cuts on the wealthy at the expense of social policy, which is just…like ok that’s just idiotic. The whole idea of trickle down economics is such a load of BS if you’re gonna cut the taxes make it proportionally cut more taxes for the lower class who will then go on to buy more things which will lead to better quality of life while the wealthy still get their money. Like their values are just all over the place and it feels completely reactionary and not forward thinking at all

Ah, I see. Thanks for the correction. My ideas on other ideas can be really scruffy so I appreciate your input. My idea on conservatives were very different because I live in the Southeast USA and most of them tend to be racists, homophobes, and heavily against basic human rights. But I suppose that cannot speak for everyone, and I sort of forgot that. I probably should have done a bit more research on them. But thanks for your input again.

Also, I think I misread ur post, I didn’t know you were talking about specifically extremist republicans. i totally agree that any extremist is not exactly the best people to be hanging around >~;. I can’t stand them, they do tend to follow things blindly, and refuse to listen to others, so I see what yours saying now.
