Magic cover up: major mystery

This summer I went to Camp Toil and Trouble in Wales. You’ve probably heard of it — super magical, super cool, super supposedly safe. Supposedly. Because something real messed up happened.

A boy named Aaron disappeared. POOF. Gone. No warning, no goodbye note, no magical smoke bomb.

Aaron was older like 15 so we didn’t really hang out and we weren't in the same tent but I remember seeing him at meals and once he helped me when my wand went weird and made my mashed potatoes scream for help. But then one day... he just vanished!!!

It happened out on the lake during canoeing. Aaron’s canoe was found out of the lake — EMPTY. Not tipped over, not broken, not even wet inside. Just floating all chill like “Hey, don’t mind me, just casually floating here without my human passenger.”

They sealed off the whole lake. Magical search teams, scrying spells, tracking imps, even some awesome underwater whisperers. They found NOTHING. Not a shoe. Not a wand. Not even a single strand of enchanted hair.

The official explanation?

"We believe Aaron may have run away."

Yeah right. Like that's not suspicious at all. Let me break it down for you. It’s so obvious this is a cover-up. I have a really good theory.

Aaron Found a Portal and Got SUCKED IN

There’s been rumors for years that Camp Toil and Trouble isn't just a thin place, its a hollow place: that means portals, people. Rips in space that lead to the magical plane. What if Aaron accidentally opened one? Or worse... what if one opened on purpose? Like actually trying to eat human kids!!! I think maybe the lake search teams DID find something: what if they found a portal but rather than going through to search for Aaron, they just sealed it up with him inside because they were too scared about what they'd find or because THEY KNEW WHAT THEYD FIND!!!! And now they're lying to us! I swear the adults know what's going on. Maybe one of them opened it! Was it on purpose or an accident?!?! Who's behind it? Or are they all in on it! They closed the lake immediately after it happened. They said, “Search parties only,” and kicked all of us back to our twnts with extra dessert. Like they were trying to distract us!

Also, there's this conselor called Mr Graves (already suspicious). One time I swear I saw him talking to himself in the mirror and his reflection wasnt copying him. Super dodgy or what!

I don’t believe Aaron just ran off in the middle of the day and, what, no one saw him?! Why didn't he leave a note?! Why wasn’t the camp shut down for good unless they WANTED something to happen to the rest of us?!?!

I know something weird is going on. They’re hiding something from the world and I'm going to make sure I find out what!
