I love debating politics , philosophy or history with friends who will ACTUALLY LISTEN. Instead of insulting each other and going in for a personal attack, you attack the source of your friend. I don't mind if a friend has different political views and they want to debate. If they can actually listen to me and my point, I'm satisfied.
Some people don’t know the difference between a debate and a childish argument. Of course, there will be some yelling in a debate but never personal attacks.
I had “debated” with a friend of mine a few days ago and the only thing she was doing is telling me to shut up and that my source is wrong (without even letting me give the source). She kept calling me different shit names and attacking me personally. By the end when I had to leave, she said she had “won” the “debate?” Like it was never even a debate in the first place… ignorant.
So for anyone out there who doesn't go insane and attack others personally during a debate and actually listens: I love you.

I think the same goes in elections. I see way too many people blame the voters over the candidate

I wish people were a little more respectful. I think if everyone had a little more kindness, we would all have a good time.
