The Culinary Food Industry Files PART 2 (DEEP-DIVE) Capitalism & True Crime... Today I talk to you about the Culinary / Restaurant Industry, I talk about, In recent years, The culinary industry has seen a huge increase in popularity and public attention. Celebrity chefs, cooking shows, and gourmet dining experiences have caught our attention and taste buds. However, deeper challenges that are typically neglected lurk behind the glossy veneer and mouthwatering cuisine. The films “The Menu” and “Hunger,” both released in 2022, take a critical look at the culinary world and shine a light on the issues that it faces today, “The Menu” is centered on a high-end restaurant that provides a one-of-a-kind eating experience: a cuisine including unusual and rare animal species. The video is a condemnation of the culinary world’s fixation with innovation and extravagance over ethical issues. It reveals the shadowy underbelly of a culture that values Capitalism business, profits, and innovation over sustainability and compassion, The film skilfully tackles the ethical concerns of wildlife put at risk of extinction, emphasizing the gap between our demand for great gastronomic experiences and the disastrous consequences for biodiversity and wildlife conservation efforts.

“The Menu” compels us to question the culinary world’s moral bounds and confront the reality that our thirst for culinary adventure might have far-reaching ecological effects, Tourism Tour groups wanted to taste hákarl, the iconic national dish, that happens to be made from Greenland shark vulnerable to overfishing. And then there was an incident in Xi’an, when they spotted tourists at the wet market haggling over a critically endangered Chinese giant salamander—a living fossil that can sell for more than $1,500 a piece Other animals on the menu include the pangolin, bears, and tigers. Sometimes the protein will be vaguely labeled, such as in Grenada, where rare leatherback and green sea turtles occasionally appear on menus as “wild meat” so tourists are unaware of what they are eating same with Dog Meat, “Hunger” depicts cooks who sacrifice personal relationships, mental health, and even their own happiness in order to gain culinary fame money and glory. Restaurant fined for true crime cases and wage theft, The astonishing reason why women are excluded from making Sushi in Japan in Japanese Culture, The gentrification of food A Mexican Food example in Mexico City, Egotistical Celebrity Chef John Mountain announced a ban on vegans at his Fyre restaurant because one of them gave him a negative review, Gordon Ramsay Getting hit with a class action lawsuit by Former Restaurant Employees and by the former landlord of his Los Angeles restaurant, Eating and buying caviar promotes the exploitation of sturgeon the fish and supports a disturbing industry that profits off dissecting eggs out of sentient beings, The Winners Of Hell's Kitchen the reality tv show NEVER Get Their Promised Head Chef Position,

The environmental impact of food waste in the restaurant industry Hotel buffets or self-service options can also generate a significant amount of food waste, The food Delivery Service's such as, GrubHub Post Mates Door Dash & Uber Eats, have risen to prominence within the foodservice realm, opening up opportunities for employment while also entering an untapped market, Fast food restaurants along with McDonald’s is failing in its legal and moral duty to provide employees a safe work environment, The European Union imports an estimated 4,000 metric tons of frogs legs, research from various sources has shown that frog populations in Indonesia have declined in recent decade, The Japanese government which subsidized the whale meat industry Past efforts include putting the meat into school lunches, promotion of whale meat recipes, and a website listing the restaurants which sell it Now in another bizarre attempt to encourage more Japanese to eat the meat, Japanese retail giant Rakuten is exposed today as the world's biggest online marketplace for whale meat products, Western banks provide billions in backing for firms driving tuna species to collapse, Across the world’s oceans, some tuna populations are at risk of collapsing as large fishing Capitalist corporations seek to produce greater and greater yields to feed wealthy consumers the bluefin tuna has suffered losses in the Pacific Ocean of 96%, The owners of two Chinese restaurants have been ordered to pay more than $52,000 in restitution and more than $129,000 in penalties for intentional violations of such state statutes as the minimum wage and child labor laws, One employee, specifically, was terminated for refusing to sign an unlawful waiver form, which sought to authorize the employer to take more than $1,000 worth of meal, lodging and transportation deductions per month, ETC!!!
