WORDS I ABSOLUTELY HATE plus context

1. Squammy

Definition: A slang term used to describe people with no class, vulgar, foul-mouthed. 

Derives from the term "squatter", term used to describe informal settlers; people who live in impoverished areas like the slums.

How is it used: 

Tagalog: "Sobrang squammy naman nila!" 

English translation: "They are so squammy!"

Tagalog: "Ayan na yung mga squammy, dumadagsa sa BGC"

English translation: "The squammy people are here, they are taking over BGC."

(BGC is Bonifacio Global City, a very high class place)

Why do I hate it: 

The majority of the Philippines suffer from poverty and these squatters/slums are the result of inefficient housing planning, homelessness, and the "Manila will make you rich" illusion- which is literally also a problem because we have provincial and city differences in wages, and Manila offers the highest since it is technically the capital of the Philippines. When people that stay in Manila live ordinary lives, housing usually gets very expensive. The slums would usually be the few last resorts for others aside from homelessness. The term is used to insult people with poor conduct, bad behavior, and being dirty. I just hate how there are people, usually Manila people, use it as a derogatory insult and it comes off as super elitist. When you ask a typical richkid, they would defend the use of this word like "Oh I just use it to insult people with no class" HELL NAH brother just say they are vulgar or some shit like stop dat

TLDR super elitist and disgusting of a term that brings in the generalization of the poor; while literally most of the poor people i have encountered are mostly nice and sweet here and shit like dat. dont drag my impoverished brothers and sisters to ur assy behavior. 

Also wtf why are filipino alt people still using this term?

2. Abnoy

Definition: Slang term for "abnormal", used to describe persons with disabilities (usually mental) and neurodivergents in an offensive manner.

How is it used:

Tagalog: "Para kang abnoy, itigil mo nga yan." 

English: "You act like an abnoy, stop doing that."

Why do I hate it: 

For the longest time, this country has not improved with mental health awareness for everyone, whether neurotypicals that act weird or neurodivergents in general. This word has caused so much harm to these people and some of them are getting killed hurted, etc. This word also made fun of neurodivergents and mocked them like a shit ton.

Actually, there was recent news that a man with autism was tasered and beaten up in a bus. When I checked the comment section of the news article, most of them are angry, but some still called this man that term, just like how other people use this term on neurodivergents.

TLDR VERY ableist and the philippines wont progress if we keep hurting these people and make fun of them
