Old Experiences

One of my exes DMd me on Discord while I was asleep last night apologizing for all the things they did to me. And honestly? It was kinda refreshing. It’s so taxing harboring so much hate for so many people at once regardless of who did what wrong, how often and when. This is a person I had put a great deal of faith in for a little over a year, and although it did not end well I am happy I got an apology from them at least half a year later. I’m honestly proud of them for stepping up to do that, it made me really happy. Imagine you spend long enough to keep asking yourself “why would you do that to me after all I’ve tried to do for you?” And when the time is right they come around and say “hey man I’m sorry”. Honestly started off my day pretty well.
