I fear for the future of the internet.

This drags on for a long time. I'm a chronic yapper, if you don't want to read then don't.

I didn't really know what category to put this under so considering I'll be hating on companies and capitalism a lot, I just put it under politics. Also because a lot of what I'm saying is extremely opinionated, I can't say any of my words should be or are the truth.

I do not like corporate minimalism. I am utterly sick of seeing basic designs. I'm tired of seeing advertisements everywhere. I hate how everything is trying to be too simple, to cheap, companies are taking too many easy routes. I'll be discussing a lot here, just keep in mind nothing I say here should be taken very seriously or to heart. I'm just a random kid on the internet shouting their opinion. 

I didn't grow up in the 2000s or 1990s, especially with media, so I'm not going to act like I'm a genius when I talk about that media.

Generative AI and it's effects on people

Getting into my point now, I can't fathom the fact that we used to dream about flying cars, robots doing all the shitty things we hate doing and crazy holograms. Instead we have AI (artificial intelligence) taking away our creativity. I don't give a flying robotic fuck that ChatGPT has just made a stupid meme. I don't like ai chatbots. I used to be a chronic c.AI user, though after realising how stupid it was, I stopped. May I just add in that c.ai addictions do NOT exist. It is so fucking easy to just delete the app. I know a lot of people only paint it in a bad light because people have sex with the AI/goon to that, but that really shouldn't be the only reason people hate it.

c.AI is generative ai. It is no better than using ai artworks. Writing and literature is a form of art. It is how people express themself. If you want to read something with your favourite character you can just go on AO3 (archive of our own) or Wattpad and read a fanfiction there. "But my favourite character is too niche!! There isn't any fanfiction on them." What's stopping you from writing our own? You have the ability to do that. Can't do that? Just day dream. There are so many options over using c.AI it's not that hard. 

Same goes for AI art. LITERALLY JUST DRAW. People have drawn without limbs, without sight, without the ability to imagine things in their head. People have created art with dirt, rocks, paint, glass, food, literature, cinema, photography, sewing, clay and so much more. Can't do all that? Commission someone. Broke? Put up with already existing images or find another option. Generative AI takes away creativity and in all areas is unethical. It even effects the environment. Even if you think its the same as searching on google, NO. It is not the same. Yes, searching/using google uses energy to power itself but it is not generating things in the process. Google has premade sites created by people. It does not use an AI to generate a response (as of 2025 it does, Google Gemini). 

For further insight, you'll have to search on your own. I'm talking far to much here.

Corporate Minimalism

I'm disgusted by corporate minimalism. It removes customisation by a lot. Especially with Google and Windows. Old google wasn't all simplistic, it had personality and fun with its logo. a little while ago they also limited how much you can customise. I'm just so tired of companies trying to be 'aesthetically pleasing" and "simplistic" it turns out awful. 

I understand the argument that logos are becoming simple just so they are easier to draw, but like.. who the fuck cares? I don't care if it's easier for companies to print. its not good looking. its ugly. im sick of simple shapes. give me fun. i need something better than a fucking circle and some words as a logo. 

This is the same for houses. I don't care if making a fucking cube for a house is easier than a cool and unique shape. What if I want a house that has colour? What if I want something that's fun? Are you gonna tell me to fuck of and throw me in a basic white room? We went from sticking people in white rooms for torture, to 'upgrading' stunning 1800s rooms into white basic pieces of shit.

I've honestly got far more to say about subjects like this, but I fear I'm going to ramble on and on forever.
