No way these people exist.

Does empathy not matter anymore? Do you genuinely not care about someone else’s wellbeing unless it affects you? Your actions hurt people and you don’t care? I don’t understand how anyone can be so heartless.

I just watched a video of someone running over a woman after driving into a no kings protest. A living breathing person mind you. Forget politics. Forget the left vs right. Forget the trump vs Kamala debate. This woman had family, friends, and a life to live for and people in the comments are laughing and joking about it like she and everyone else in the protest deserved to be traumatized in that way.

In the comment people are saying things like “the road is for cars”, “is the car okay?”, “what did you expect?”, or “people have places to be.” Like I’m so tired. Tired of people not caring for others. Tired of having to explain respect and empathy. Tired of being disappointed in people whenever I open a history book or watch the news. I want people to come together instead of being against each other all the time.

Don’t you understand the issue isn’t about politics anymore? People in charge don’t care about you or what you think about them. They push people away from each other so we don’t realize that they don’t have our best interest in mind. If you watch that video and your first instinct is to say that the protestors were breaking the law instead of wondering if that woman is okay, they’ve already got you. You’d rather be a mindless drone in society and follow what the richest man says to you instead of have community and it breaks my heart.

And maybe I’m making assumptions about you and I’m wrong. Im sorry if that’s the case. But even then I can’t imagine what else could possibly go through your head.

I cried to that comment section because these people exist in my world and I have to come across them. What if that woman was me?. That’s what people would say about me being hurt and almost killed. That’s so cruel. So, so cruel. I pray for the people that were hurt or otherwise affected by that protest. I pray for the troubled souls that can’t keep their rude and inappropriate comment section to themselves. I hope they find peace instead of hatred for their own brothers and sisters.

Her name is Alexa Carrasco and she was exercising her first amendment right to protest!!!

i definitely agree with you, but i see a lot more of this coming from the left than the right. when an innocent trump supporter was killed during the trump rally, popular leftists like destiny were laughing and saying he deserved it, but when Joe Biden gets prostate cancer, even Trump, the guy that's literally known for bullying his political opponents, says that it is a very sad situation.

I've never heard of that situation before, that's literally terrible.

honestly, I don't care about who does it, it's wrong. in my blog I never said anything about it being the right or the left who left those comments anyhow. I don't chose sides. I don't chose labels. im not loyal to a leader just because they're red or blue. both sides have done wrong, and both sides thing the other side is the wrong side.

like I said, this split in America is just distracting people from the horrible leaders that gain from our disagreements. they gain from left vs right because it's easy to get away with awful stuff.

I find that I see people from the right get aggressive towards minorities or people who oppose to them, often threatening with violence. I find that people from the left are typically bystanders and instead of having empathy for tragedies of the right, they mock and believe it was right because they were right (often supporting their stance with the fact that the right don't support human rights) and they're BOTH WRONG! they both support violence of human beings and it's disgusting.

I think it would also be helpful of you to well maybe spare them some empathy as well. Think about it from their perspective. Don't worry though I definitely agree with you that they do lack empathy and respect, but having too much isn't good either, and some of the other stuff you said but I can't be bothered to say what. Anyways you can't expect too much from the average person as well, cause be real they're way to greedy, self-centered, and desensitised to spend their entire day empathising over every bad thing in the world. Also I do think it has some positives points; being having different perspective on a matter as if any single perspective overshadows others it most likely won't end well.

respectfully, I cannot have respect for people who fully watched a video of a woman getting run over (probably died for all they know) and decides to make jokes and insinuate that she deserved it. that's sick and twisted no matter how desensitized they are. I've watched people being blown up in Gaza and seen people mutilated by the attacks. and every time I still feel like throwing up. not because of the blood and injury, but because people can sit there and watch it happen and still have something mean and degrading to say.

I'm not asking for people to give all their time and stresses on everything bad in the word, im saying that if you encounter bad and have nothing nice to say, it shouldn't be said.

There’s nothing I can really tell you to make it better. There are a lot of cruel people but there are also many kind and caring people. I choose to believe that most people commenting are just desensitized to being informed of deaths that have nothing to do with themselves or loved ones. That doesn’t make it any better or give any excuses to make nasty comments though. I hope we can find more peaceful ways to resolve these ongoing political issues soon. I don’t believe anything is worth hurting each other over. It makes me sad seeing so many people hurting lately. I hope she can rest in peace as well as any other victims.

I just realized I misread. She isn’t dead. My apologies but the rest still stands.

I know nothing can be done. it really is evil and sin in the world and I wish I could do something about it. im just really passionate about my opinions and sometimes I don't want to rest until I can do something about it or change someones mind.

she's not dead yet but she's in a medially induced coma and is in critical condition and may not make it. :(

Killing people is not based, it’s so cringe to pretend it’s funny when it’s not, you’re right, it’s not about eh politics anymore, you just killed someone who did not harm you, and people are so surprised that people don’t want to attempt to make a change anymore, people who actually want to do good in the world get more backlash than the people who contribute to the negative downfall of our planet, normalize empathy again, lockdown ruined it.

lockdown was definitely our empathy downfall. people discovered that they could say whatever they wanted on screen and be jerks and "have no consequences."

they will reap what they sow.

Unfortunately, if we continue to punish those who try and make a change and let horrible people get away without consequence, society will go down hill rapidly and terribly.
