HAPPY PRIDE MONTH MY COMRADS !! β€οΈπ§‘ππππ
If you're planning to go to a march or protest and you live in a country where standing up for LGBTQIA+ rights is dangerous or restricted, protecting yourself and staying organized is essential.
And even in 'safer' places, itβs still important. So here are some tips for Pride! (They work for Pride marches, but also for other protests of course ^^)
1) Never go alone. Always go with a group of people you trust, like family or friends.
2) Let someone know where you're going. Make sure you have someone outside the protest you can reach if anything happens (an adult ofc).
3) Emergency contact written somewhere. In case your phone died.
4) Stuff to have in your bag:
-
Water and snacks
-
Inhaler (if you have asthma)
-
A fully charged phone
-
ID cards
-
A small first aid kit (band-aids, sterile gauze, etc.)
-
Sugar or candy (in case someone in your group, or nearby has low blood sugar)
-
Earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones (if you're sensitive to loud noises)

damn dude are you guys going to a parade or a warzone tf you mean first aid kit
well it depend where you're going and how familly friendly the parade is but even when you're not going to a protest where things can get violent it's always useful to have first aid on you whatever where you go
