im on neither sides atp

the amount of ppl ive seen on tiktok debating whether liking anime characters while in a relationship is CHEATING while some often disagree w/ this, 85% of those ppl who disagree either like anime characs, or maybe some who are narrow minded enough. OR OR!1 theyre just disagreeing cause they feel offended and they actually dont touch grass or go outside!

Well, yes. Here's my take on this issue!! In SOME cases, it IS considered cheating if your admiration to a character is on a WHOLE new level. I'm talking about g00n1ng to them, almost always comparing them to ur partner, talking about them to ur partner like some sort of crush as if they are actually real, etc. Well, surprise!!! that is a major problem to ur relatipnship and it will almost look like as if u dedicate ur whole life to a drawing! this kind of action would literally send ur partner to have some insecurities, maybe also lead them to comparing themselves over a DRAWING.

Well, I also DO like anime characters but not on that kind of admiration. Like, I adore anime characs for their design, lore, personality, their attitude, etc. Like Ronin Beaufort for example. And i have seen ppl also saying this is ALSO cheating. Guess what!! they are all fictional! I can like whoever i want! do u see me beating it while holding a picture of Itto from genshin impact!?!11 NO. Because!! who does that while ure in a relationship!!

I mean, if ure totally single it is very alright LOL /hj but still, its offensive to ur partner if you would rather much choose ur anime crush over ur lover anyday. Lmk ur opinions in the comment sec:3

Havent been on tiktok since mooonths ago (Jurassic behaviour) so I didn’t know this is what’s happening. Frankly, back when I had tiktok, this wasn’t an issue that warranted online discourse? What you’re saying here is pretty spot on imo to what I thought a lot of people would have thought back then.

Like fictional characters all you want but know the difference between a “celeb crush” vs an ACTUAL relationship-breaking crush. I can call someone cute and call it a day, or I can obsess about someone till kingdom come and barely bat an eye on my supposed partner4liferz.
