Feminist
an advocate for women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes; a person who supports feminism.
Kids in my classes are always fussing about feminists. Even girls. You’re self sabotaging, buddy. If you don’t support feminism you’re sexist. That’s it. There is no in between. You’re either sexist or not like please use your brain guys. I had conversation about this thjng with my cousin who i love and appreciate, but he’s so stupid sometimes. Like please get off of instagram reels and youtube shorts.

i think it's related to people thinking women have conquered anything and everything already, so they see feminism as useless. it is not, but when you bring current issues to the table they just go "that doesn't happen" "it only happens in undeveloped countries". yes, some countries are safer for women and you may not see the issues in your space but feminism is about ALL WOMEN, the liberation of all women everywhere.
most people also don't have problems with prostitution, the porn industry or the sexualization of women in general so it's clear that they won't see anything "worth fighting for" in those cases.
basically people think that feminism won because western women can vote.

So, I don't mean to say that this perspective I'm going to share is the right one, but it helps to understand the mentality of the opposite side when it comes to your political opinions.
What makes people stay away from feminism is comments like the one you made: "you don't agree with us? Sexist!". Is it true that they are sexist? I don't know, that's not up to me. Just know that generally calling others sexist and racist isn't a good strategy to get them to agree with you
Again, not necessarily saying I agree with this, just sharing what I've heard from those people.
i get what you’re saying, but i believe that if you don’t think women deserve to be treated equally as men then you’re sexist.
