How to Find Your Polling Place & What to Bring

Heading to the polls for the 2025 NYC mayoral election? Here's what you need to know to make your voting day smooth and stress-free.

Find Your Polling Place

Your assigned polling site is based on your home address. To find it:
Visit nyc.pollsitelocator.com

You’ll see your early voting location, Election Day location, and even a sample ballot.

What You Need to Bring

Most NYC voters do NOT need to show ID to vote in person.
❗ You may need ID if you're voting for the first time and didn't provide ID when registering.

Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • A current utility bill

  • Government check

  • Paystub or other government document with your name and address

Accessibility at the Polls

All polling places are required to be accessible. If you need assistance, election workers are trained to help. You can also:

  • Request a ballot marking device

  • Use curbside voting if you can’t enter the building

Tip: Go during non-peak hours (mid-morning or early afternoon) for shorter lines!
