Finding Frankenstein

Part two of Edinburgh

For the second day we mostly wanted to visit some goofy fun places, since we had already seen a lot of the main attractions the last time we came up here. However we did start the day off by going to the cathederal. I'm always up for looking at stained glass and gothic architecture. As expected, it was just as pretty as every place of worship. I did end up getting these cute wooden church mice from the gift shop, and I will 100% be back to collect the rest of the set. 

I often come in just to stare at them, theyre too cute ᘛ⁐ᕐᐷ

We also visited a small museum. It had absolutley no signage to show it was a museum and we only came upon it due to our avid snooping. All-in-all it was okay. They had A LOT of waxworks and I nearly ended up assaulting some old man because I thought he wasn't real... So I'm looking around the museum, inspecting all of the wax works when I notice one is leaning against the window with one arm propped up. It takes me around ten minutes to get to him and I think to myself "I wonder what this one looks like" since its turned away. It had the same sort of raggedy old fashioned clothing on and I got so freaking close, ready to pop my head around and stare at it in the face - when it breathed. Yeah, turns out it was just some old man. He didn't even react to me approaching him ahaha. In the end I just ended up backing away and awkwardly leaving (⇀ˬ↼‶)

Well onto the more goofy stuff we went to visit later on in the day.  We made our way to a place I wanted to visit for the longest time - the Frankenstein bar! We ordered ourselves a drink, mine was all bubbly and smoking which was pretty entertaining. Then by a stroke of luck we got there as soon as 'the show' began. Lightning starts to crash, bulbs begin to flicker and then slowly emerging out of the wall comes frankenstein.... Zapzapzap and he's aliiiiive!! It was all very fun, but unfortuantly I got too excited and full on punched my drink across the table, after only having one sip. Somewhere out there, there is video evidence of it (as everyone was filming the event) and for my sake I hope it never emerges. I may have to pass away from cringe. I'm very disapointed that I didn't have the money to get myself one of their Frankenstein hoodies, so that is also something to pick up next time perhaps

Before the drink disaster struck

We also went to the Fallout bar - based off the video game series. It was way smaller than I expected and I thought there would also be food available but it turns out it was simply a cockail bar. It happens to not be a permanent fixture, changing the theme every few months or so - so in reality they had done a really good job for something that is seasonal. I got the stimpack cocktail, which actually came in a stimpack and the server squirted it in a glass for me. It was very medicinal in taste but I rather enjoy those flavours, it suited me just fine! ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´-

The last thing we visited was The Banshee Labyrinth which is a goth/alt bar. I know it seems like I'm a bit of a boozer but at this point I had only successfully drank one drink. Anyways, this is a really nice place and obviously I would reccomend it for any alternative people out there - I think yous would fall in love instantly. A lot of the bar goes into the old underground vaults and that means theres probably a lot of ghosties hanging about the place. They do cinema, shows and they have a pool table. Lots of entertainment. We played a game of pool and left to get some grub in us. I didnt take any of my own photos of this place since it was pretty crowded but go ahead and look it up if you feel like it!

Visiting the shopping district at the other side of Edinburgh we found a decent chinese restaurant. I can't remember the exact name of the dish I had but it definitley included the words 'hell' and ' devil'. It was the hottest dish they had but it was just nicely spiced - not the knock your head off type spicy. They also whacked a gong every time a new customer came in and they all yelled a certain phrase (no idea what it was) , which was pretty funny. I have to think about what it must be like working there. You must end up going on autopilot and not realise you're yelling that phrase anymore 0-0

Well, that was pretty much it. We done a lot more stuff but without photos it'll probably come across very dull ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ*)
