don't be afraid!! I waste so much time wearing boring ass clothes because I'm worried I'll mess up when customizing, but truly who gives a shit, and chances are you will end up loving it. You can always use stencils, or trace, or anything to mak eit a little easier. Pinterest is great for looking for ideas to get you started too.
i just costumized my shoes a little bit last night and that was fun! you could change the way the shoelaces are shaped or even add beads to them, or go crazy with a sharpie and add patterns n stuff to the sides and front, nail polish also works as a good substitute if you don't have sharpies lol- found that out the easy way- but yea that was a fun little project :3
