My body is NOT yours (pro-life rant)

Pro-life adoption rant

When pro-lifers explain why abortion is bad, they always talk about the fetus, but never the mother who is carrying the child. During a debate, I heard three woman agree that a woman should not have rights to her own body. I heard those three women say that a rape victim should have their child because if they don’t, it’s murder. I heard those three woman say that a fetus who hasn’t had a single thought yet should be saved rather than a 15 year old girl who made a mistake, and have to die for that baby. 

Those people will never understand that if they agree to ban abortion, they are slowly taking away woman’s rights. Woman’s freedom. 

But today, we won’t be talking about how abortion is good, we’ll be talking about if it becomes banned across America, and possibly other countries too.

Pro-lifers explain that there are foster homes or adoption centers for those parents or single mothers who aren’t financially stable or mentally stable enough to take care of their child. But only 27% of them actually get adopted. And who’s really adopting except for couples in the LGBTQ+ and some (uncommon) heterosexual couples? And a lot of children grow up in adoption centers. It’s like food. The more and more it ages, the more it expires, the less people want it. It’s the same for adoption. The older a child is, the more slimmer the chances are of them getting adopted. 

Since so many adoptive parents want a baby or a toddler, they never consider the older kids. And do you know what happens when they turn 18? They end up homeless with no where to go. “Oh, Well, there are homeless centers for them to-“ SHUT UP! Homeless shelters aren’t available to everyone, theyre overpopulated, cramped, and diseases spread fast as hell there as Well. People have stated that homeless shelters are rough, uncomfortable, and disgusting. Wouldn’t you rather not release a not-yet born child into heaven than have them deal with that? It’s a whole cycle actually. Over 92% of homeless woman or people faab (female assigned at birth) get sexually assaulted or raped. And very many of them do end up becoming pregnant. So no, these woman do not want to bring a child into this world that they cannot afford to show this child love and support that a usual child needs.
