Crossfire

Crossfire

(Final) 4.11.2025

Being caught in

The cross fire of your words

Hitting me like bullets

As blood comes gushing out

Of every single hurtful word you say

I see you

I try to reach you

No matter how much it hurts

The cross fire wasn’t meant for me

But I got damaged in the making

By your words

You weren’t meant to be the person

Holding the gun

But you were

As the gun you held

had 5 bullets left in its chamber

5 you began to raise your voice

Getting louder

I began to dissociate

4 you start to blame your actions on me

Everything was apparently my fault

As my eyes get blurry

3 you began to tear me down from every little thing I was proud of

My tears begin to fall

Creating a stream full of all my emotions

that was once locked away

2 my emotions are no longer there

I’m numb

1 you apologize saying you’re sorry,

you’re sorry

But you’re not

Your shots have already been fired

There is no going back

I am no longer alive

As I get caught in the crossfire

Of your sorrows

Of your own emotions

As I begin to bleed out

From the words

That left those lips

Only cutting deeper into my skin

Causing damage to me

Physically and mentally

Slowly but surely

Painful but yet I feel nothing

As my heart stops beating

My soul begins to lingers

Of what’s left

Feeling defeated

As a lifeless corpse

Just lying accepting what is

Can no longer be

XOXO, Celeste
