AI art and fascism

I think its pretty clear that the spread of AI is indicative of how we are expecting things to be produced faster and faster, how our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. And of course this has to do with capitalism and the benefits that our demand has for big corporations. I also think that this phenomenon is leading to a big lack of empathy and connection in human interactions. (Some) people don't care about compensating artists out of generosity and thankfulness, about building that connection. They just want to be able to quickly take part in a trend because otherwise it'll slip through their fingers and they'll lose their chance at fame. ALSO art is about more than just what's "aesthetically pleasing"- i wonder if the rise of AI art will lead to an even more extreme focus on appearances above content and authenticity in society? I think this general lack of empathy and the perceived unimportance of the arts is a larger issue than an AI photo trend on tiktok though. Art has always been political. The act of creating is something that nobody can take from you- even in their hardest moments people have found ways to create. And I don't think that AI taking that from us and politicians celebrating that (....Trump with his weird AI Gaza video...??)  all while there is a wave of conservatism in many western countries is a coincidence. in Germany the current political climate is even going in a fascist direction with the second strongest party. And a very central feature of fascism is the suppression of opposition which in the past happened for example with the burning of books, upon which many artists and authors fled Germany. Anyway, of course the rise of AI art is not on nearly the same level and artists are thankfully not being persecuted. But i do feel slightly concerned when people are confused on why it matters or when people act like AI art is worth the same or more accessible. Anyone can AND SHOULD (!!) make art!! You don't have to learn oil paints but there are so many forms of art and truly anyone can create something, whether it's a collage, a little origami heart, a journal spread, a birdhouse, a letter, your spacehey layout, or a little comic. Art can be a way of resisting, a way of connecting with people, a way of expressing yourself.
