turns out i can say some intelligent shit sometimes. ive been studying mass shootings, and right now, ive been focusing on the gender aspect of it, and if there is any at all. men are more likely to commit mass shootings, and a key focus of research on it is the notion of hegemonic masculinity. hegemonic masculinity is typically defined as the peak masculinity, of like your typical strong chad type guy who gets loads of bitches and has a nice job that can support a hot trad wife and 3 blonde haired blue eyed kids. many dudes cant achieve that, so they decide to lash out against society because they feel that their masculinity is hurt, or in this case, strained, coming from general strain theory saying that people commit crimes because of strain.

incels are kind of unique in this, in that they are

1. defeatist, meaning that they quit before they even started.

2. nihlist, meaning that they dont want to start cuz they think that they'll fail instantly.

3. fighting strawmen, meaning they made up most of their plight.

to adress their defeatism, many incels strive to achieve masculinity, or in this case their idealized masculinity through getting girls, but after one fail (or indoctrination by other incels) they quit for good. its funny that they claim to be involunarily celibate when they are in reality voluntarily celibate. they brought this shit onto themselves. seriously, if these guys tried, they would've probably succeeded.

that brings me to my point about nihlism, incels believe that they will never achieve masculinity due to them not having sex with women (maybe they fuck dudes on the low who knows) and they believe that no matter what they do they will fail, so they quit trying, its like that one quote from the arrogant sons of b#tches song kill the president, "expect the worst and you'll be right." and all incels do is expect the worst, and they become right, in a shitty self fulfilling prophecy, they gotta break out of it and achieve nirvana, but they never try, they become complacent to the status quo of loneliness.

which is kind of like fighting strawmen, cuz incels let other incels define them. one example is elliot rodger, the supreme gentelmen himself, rallied other incels into believing that being masculine is getting girls, and if u dont get girls, u shoot em and then shoot yourself. like bro, are you gay? why are you letting other men define what masculinity is for you? Matter of fact, why are you defining masculinity in a way that u, yes, even u, recognize as self destructive? u recognize that the current system of masculinity in society is shit and fucking you over, so why not make up new rules for yourself? thats what I did, to be masculine, all i do is study well so i can get a nice law job and a wife (named benny whos my current gf, future wiiiiiife <3), treat those i care about well, and focus on what i can control. the last one is part of stoicism, which has been corrupted by people like andrew tate into some self help bullshit, but thats a rant for another time.

in summary, incels are losers cuz they let themselves be losers
