right winged people don't belong in alt spaces at all lol, alternative itself is entirely against that at its core, all alt genres are leftists based and centered around music that GOES against the right. I've been seeing a few right wingers on spacehey which is an alternative dominated website which IS WEIRD!!!! being far right is built off of hate and greed. being alt means SUPPORTING human rights and what people want to do with their bodies, and helping other less fortunate people. educated yourself because conservative/being far right means your NOT alternative or in ANY alternative subculture, you're just a poser wannabe stealing our shit. (the alt subculture was built off of queer and poc ppl btw :) )

It is, which is why it attracts the left and the right. Mainstream culture upholds capitalism, doesn't care much for the less fortunate or disabled, or any extreme minorities. However, mainstream culture doesn't support loud Nazism, racism, or any belief supporting white people as an endangered or silently oppressed race. Far-right individuals are cast out from mainstream culture and collect in alternative spaces. These spaces don't kick them out as quickly because there's so many showing or hiding their beliefs for the right time, and because alternative people are pretty scattered/isolated.

What is the "alt community" supposed to be?
There are punks, goths, emos and much more and all of them are very distinct. Punks are normally against the mainstream media and aggressive. Goths are a little of the opposite of punk, being slower and not political at all... So make it make sense. What exactly are we talking about? Did you make your own subculture or something?
The alternative space has ALWAYS been political. This isn't some new subculture

I'm conservative when it comes to my own body I guess! In a way where I wouldn't push anything onto another person. I'm also libertarian, so I hate the two-party bullshit. I dress modestly but don't fault anyone for wanting to show skin, wouldn't get an abortion personally but support my friends in whatever they choose, wouldn't personally date another woman even though I do like women and support my friends when they choose to date according to their sexuality, and dislike the idea of teaching any religion in public school as it just feels wrong to me even though I am Christian myself

Again, with all due respect, it doesn't sound like you're conservative. None of what you mentioned are conservative ideals. You can be a modest Christian person and be a leftist. I don't know everything you believe in politically, so I can't tell you where you land on the political sphere, but I do know that you aren't conservative based on what you're saying so far.
To be conservative in America means to conserve. What exactly are you conserving? Looking at America's history, you will know precisely what conservatives are trying to conserve.
I would advise taking a political quiz or researching more about the different political spectrums because it doesn't seem you align with conservative ideals, and I feel like you're shooting yourself in the foot by aligning yourself with the wrong group.
I understand being personally conservative, such as being modest, and personally not choosing abortion but supporting others' right to choose. But being personally conservative is not the same as being politically conservative.
In the context of this post, you can't be politically conservative and be in alternative spaces. Since altervertive spaces literally go against conservative ideals.
