"another life'

People always say,

"In another life"

They say it for relationships, regrets, and mistakes

In another life I'll get good grades

I'll have the motivation to get my work done

to be on time and on task

to be the honor roll student my parents deserve.

In another life I'm naturally pretty

I won't have to throw up 

Nor will I have to paint over my pig face

I'll be comfortable in my own skin.

In another life we're together 

We're happy and society didn't ruin us

we loved each other and communicated

We fought for each other no matter what

In another life I'll be enough for myself

I won't be afraid to look in the mirror

I'll be proud of myself and grow from my mistakes

I'll care for myself and no one else

Maybe this is all in another life

Maybe I only have this life, and one chance.
