Cat Grief

My sweet baby Macon was peacefully put down around an hour ago. I miss him so much, he randomly started acting really slow the past few days and stopped overwhelmingly asking for food like he always does and we started to get worried. He had trouble going to the bathroom so we decided to go to the vet and when we got the blood work back turns out he had fluid around his heart and was diabetic which made sense because he didn't gain much weight despite eating a lot, he also couldve possibly had cancer and also had fluid in places that weren't supposed to have fluid so there was a lot of problems and we weren't sure what to do. He was in pain and there wasn't much we could do other than MAYBE prolong his life a little which would be very expensive and risky. He was euthanized in my moms lap and we cried a whole lot, he'll be cremated and we'll also get paw print things. Ill update. I was going to try and learn "My Angel" by Adrianne Lenker from a friends request and he followed me around the house slowly before we went to the vet. We thought it was just arthritis but it was a LOT worse and a lot more than that. Im so sorry, I love you Macon, I wish he could've lived until May so he could've reached his 15th birthday.
