Alvvays - Alvvays LP (2014) Indie pop/Indie Rock/Dream pop/Twee
this canadian band recorded this album in yoko ono a recording studio owned by artist chad vangaalen its very female vocal driven dreamy riffs and soundscapes like you are in a surfy bedroom microdosing on lava lamps and psychedelic waves. its very post punky its very dreamy it reminds me of the chill wave era of washed out but also a 60s surf influence cutting through goth and new wave aesthetic. its haunting yet romantic and chilly yet warm. ghostly yet familiar and close and new. nostalgic yet exciting. from start to finish it plays so well give it a listen 10/10 album
