Nice to Meet You!

Hello Everyone! 

My name is Sydney, I'm 29. I'm currently majoring in English and minoring in Theatre. I hope one day I can be a teacher :) 

Ever since billionaires started colonizing the internet (and even more so since the most recent inauguration), I've been looking for areas of the internet that have not been infiltrated by evil. Needless to say, I was tickled pink when I heard about this website. I had a MySpace account back in the day, but I only had it for a few months. My mom had a ~~bad~~ experience on MySpace (which was partly her own fault, but I digress), so she wouldn't let me sign up until I was older than 13 (also, my sister opened up an account secretly, and once my mom found out about it I was able to open one too). Of course, by the time I was really getting used to MySpace, Facebook came by and completely overtook it. If I could turn back time, I would have never left MySpace. Who would have known Zuckerberg would become so villainous? (Okay, Andrew Garfield tried to warn us in "The Social Network," perhaps we should have listened). 

I have a bookstagram where I also share videos of my vinyl collection. I'm hoping I can use SpaceHey to share book reviews, and if I can figure out how to share videos, maybe I'll share some videos of my record collection as well. I might just use the blogging function and share what's happening in my life too. I've missed blogging.
