It is clear, that DEI has had a heavy influence for companies around the nation to roll back their protection policies. While this a desired and predicted desire of the president; there seems to be a communication flaw. And I don't understand where the translation flaws are coming up, but boy do they sure seem to come up a ton.
As a trans man, I am going to be hit negatively by the new DEI wishes. Even if the state I reside in has blue legislation and government, I will still be socially impacted due to the state itself voting mostly red.
Where this is sparking hate, is that I can't work without promised DEI. I have applied to about 6 jobs and resubmitted the applications and nothing; hell I even submitted applications that were out of left field after to see if by chance I would get something different, yet it's tumbleweeds.
So why is it that my crocheting business is met with "get a real job" when I (a trans man) am protected by DEI and without DEI I can be denied flat out or even fired?
On top of jobs just not taking applications, this is now a thing. So pardon the fuck out of me if it is mission impossible to land a part time job with severe labor and egregious underpay if lucky. And at that point, why bother when one of my hats goes for $30 or more a hat and it takes about three days to whip one together?? What happened to America loving to buy small, supporting locally? They were all lies and marketing/political topics over time, I get it. But the irony is honestly laughable.
