TL:DR; Elon Musk did a Nazi solute, otherwise called a 'Seil Heil', twice, at our new president Donald Trump's inauguration. We should not tolerate nazism, or any fascist symbology. We cannot waste our time trying to argue with conservative supporters on whether it is actually indicative of nazism or not. It is Nazism. It is fascism in the highest offices of our government. It is backed by every american billionare who wants to protect their wealth, status, and power. We must be loud and clear that this is unnacceptable and dangerous to everyone. Global fascism is on the rise.

A quick rundown of the last few days.

To no one's surprise the oligarchs of the United States took their masks off and revealed that they are what everyone on the political left has been claiming they are: Fascists. Nazi's, even. Elon Musk performed an enthusiatic Sieg Heil first to the crowd, and then turned around and performed it to Donald Trump, who was seated behind him. And what was that met with? Applause by the ~220,000 people in attendance, some even following suit and Seig Heiling in solidarity, caught on live television as the camera panned over the crowd.

The front row at the presidential inauguration was comprised of tech moguls, billionares who have enormous and unchecked powers over information technologies used by hundreds of millions domestically and abroad. Seated behind them were the actual presidential cabinet who were worth hundreds of millions each, halfway to being billionares themselves. Those two rows represent the primary group who will wield political power over 334 million Americans, and also, forgotten by most americans in a panic right now, the populaces of the over 80 countries with American military bases stationed in them. (The exact number of bases is difficult to determine because the Pentagon doesn't publish all of its data. But 750 of these bases are known of.)

The EU sees that the rise of Global Fascism is being lead by American politics, because American Billionares are supporting far-right movements financially, and are backing them with their control of news and social media in European countries.

Germany itself, where the horrors of Nazism originated, acknowledges the reality of the situation that the USA, and by proxy the whole world, is in. We should follow suit and loudly, enthusiatically, and vehemently rebuke the poilitical normalization of Fascist symbology and Billionare interests in our government. Globally, politicians on the world stage are being forced to publicly recognize the bigger picture that endangers them and their own democracies; American Fascists are being backed by oligarchical elites and their wealth, because they both stand to get what they want under a dictatorship that they can pilot together.

The reality is such: If European politicians don't speak out now, they may never get the chance because their own nation's far-right efforts may evolve into the same political situation America is in. They are starting to put up political-statement barricades between themselves and the US oligarchy.

But there are voices of reason and compassion on American soil.

Bishop Marianna Edgar Budde, at washington's national cathedral, performed a heroic public sermon that encaptures everything we should be feeling about this situation. I will quote the part I feel is most important below in italics (in case the video gets censored or removed), but you can view the sermon it in it's entirety by clicking here, or the thumbnail below. The embedded video I provide starts at the beggining of this quote, but I reccomend watching her full speach by starting the video at 1:33:00.

"Let me make one final plea, Mr. President. Millions have put their trust in you and, as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and Independent families, some who fear for their lives. The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings; who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants; who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals. They…may not be citizens or have the proper documentation. But the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors. They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, gurudwaras and temples. I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away. And that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here. Our God teaches us that we are to be merciful to the stranger, for we were all once strangers in this land. May God grant us the strength and courage to honor the dignity of every human being, to speak the truth to one another in love and walk humbly with each other and our God for the good of all people. However, this sermon is the limit to what a church can provide for the American people; an analysis of our feelings towards the current situtaion, an empowering message to counteract the evils we are facing, and a public plea directed towards those in power.

What can we the people do for ourselves?

Fascist talk and rhetoric is about to become much more commonplace, because powerful world figures are using it openly, and thereby normalizing it. 

The average person can do this: Punch a Nazi in the Mouth. 

Now, you don't have to immediatley resort to violence, if you don't want to. You can confront a person when they use fascist speach with your words. Tell them it is wrong. Tell them that everyone around them thinks they are wrong. If they are only willing to speak in terms of violence, tell them you won't tollerate what they are saying and if they want to continue spewing this destructive nonsense, "We can take this outside."

The majority of the time they will backpedal on what they said, because these people are used to having strangers on the internet (4chan, Facebook, Twitter, TruthSocial, Fox News article comment sections, etc.) agreeing with them. They are used to being rewarded with a funny meme when they say, "Race war now! Millions must die! Kill all liberals! Trump is king! Elon is a hero!" 

The truth is, modern Nazi's are not used to violent confrontation when they speak their beliefs. In the face of an actual person in a real-life, public setting telling them they are about to have violence enacted on them and that their fascist beliefs will not be tolerated, they will realize they are not on the internet anymore, and do themselves what they hoped you would do when they started speaking this way; They will back down. They are cowards. They are losers. They are the ones who should be told they are 'less than', and be chastised for attempting to bring murderous hate into the world we all live in. Make them feel that way, and they will give up.

Will they go home and post more hateful things on the internet in their nazi-safe-spaces? Probably, but they are less likely to do in in public from now on. Congratulations, you were an effective resistance against fascism.

But, if they do not give up, don't go easy on them in the fight.

If they do back down, they put their hand up, they try to get out of physical punishment for expressing their vivid willingness and desire to kill people they see as 'less than', remember; It's always good to punch nazis.

Do not tolerate intolerance. Challenge it when you see it, with words, threats of violence, or a good punch, lest it be normalized and kill us all.
