Log 8: Tiktok and America are Going Downhill

This place is a fucking nightmare. 

In case you can’t see the post, I will copy paste what’s written:

Now you get TOS'ed for saying negative comments about meta and Zuckerberg, left-wing politics get flagged as misinformation, and you can't tag #fucktrump #fuckelon or #fuckmeta but you CAN tag #fuckbiden and #fuckkamala”

Here is the subreddit that people in the comments said has proof of it all.

I am disappointed but not at all surprised. Some anti-transgender executive order is out too already.

There’s just. Wow. A lot going on. I came here to put my two cents in (yeah I know, why listen to some rando on the internet’s opinion) but I find myself speechless at how shamelessly dystopian everything is. 

All I could think of is: 

1) To get off Tiktok permanently so you won’t have to deal with propaganda. Get off Meta & X whenever you can too, since you don’t want to support the guy who did the Nazi salute twice or thrice. You can get your funny videos and posts elsewhere. 

2) To cisgender people, be an active ally to transgender people.  Defend them when they’re attacked and do not be complicit. If you are being passive, then you are giving power to the bigots.

To transgender people, you have to keep living and fighting. You giving up is exactly what the queerphobes want. Do no harm but take no shit. Meekness would only get you bullied or beat to death.

3) Cancel your Amazon subscription and redirect funds to nonprofits.

I am pissed that it had gotten to this state. The government needs a reminder that they’re supposed to be working for the welfare of all people. Ideally—for me at least—protests should be non-violent, but I am afraid that it’s getting to the point where it’s ineffective.
