Inauguration Day

Today, the inauguration happened in America. A couple of days ago, I was terrified. I was afraid of what this would mean for America. I actually cried because I was scared, scared of how things will play out but today, I saw the news and I was calm. I was just hysterical the day before but today, I was calm and I accepted it. Today I saw Elon musk and Trump subtly admitting to their wrongdoings and I was calm, this country is not mine to fix and the peace I have inside will remain. I refuse to let evil make fear within my heart. This inauguration and these few years will not make me fearful. I refuse to be fearful, I refuse to have my peace taken from me, because I want to remain joyous, and I love to smile because I know suffering and I refuse to allow myself to have such despair for human beings who smile at it sadistically. I am taking care of myself this evening because I deserve it, and I suggest that to those who are scared and haven't found their strength like I couldn't do a couple days ago do the same. This isn't the end of us but the start of our new beginning, I hope to those who are scared you find your strength and remain joyous within your spirit.
