Superman, Tarot, and Too Many Interests To Count: An Introduction

Just a quick introduction to WhosDarling(me!!). Starting with the usual, I'm a seventeen year old American, my primary language is English although I'm trying to learn German at the moment. Emphasis on trying, mostly through Duolingo. Now to get a little more in depth. 

Superman! My profile pic and loading screen are both of the titular DC character, who debuted in April of 1938 and was made by Jerry Siegel & Joe Schuster which fun fact they were both Jewish immigrants and superman's kryptonian name "Kal-El" means the voice of god. My personal obsession with Superman is relatively new springing up in the past 2-3 years, originally I was a huge Batman fan(still am don't get me wrong) but sometime in 2022 I got really into the character, in the sense that Superman isn't just some overpowered hero but him being a symbol of hope for everyone and always has been. "Truth Justice and A Better Tomorrow" has always been what Superman an alien refugee who sees the best in everyone and is willing to fight for everyone, even if it's just helping a cat get out of a tree to fighting intergalactic threats. I'll probably make another post just to really get into his character.

Tarot, my personal preference when it comes to divination. I'd consider myself agnostic- for the most part but I find myself drawn towards looking at different spiritual, religious practices. This mostly entails me doing a bit of research, rather than actually doing them(anthropology nerd). Tarot however is something I practice, not as often as I like or should but I find it fulfilling. Something is to be said about relaxing and asking the cards a question, the shuffle of the cardstock in my hands, that feeling of rightness when choosing a card and setting it in place. Turning each card over to reveal the past, present or/and future. I keep a little journal to document my spreads, as well as I enjoy going through Pinterest and finding new spreads to try out. It's something I find very fulfilling.

I am into a lot of things, my sewing machine is currently sitting across from me glaring as my interest in sewing has yet to translate into making something(yet). An overfilled bookshelf has books I swear i'll read just in a bit (Told myself to read at least one book a month), There's a plethora of media I consume ranging from aqua teen hunger force to fleabag. I'm a sucker for any  action movies as long as there's good fight scenes and maybe a an explosion or two I'll probably like it. I'm also really into psychology, anthropology, history(most knowledgeable in U.S. but trying to expand that).How cultures develop, why we do the things we do, can we reach the final frontier, all big questions I like exploring.
