mini rants

I think it's crazy that no one talks about how America grooms it's citizens (CHILDREN!!!) into being soldiers. I can't speak for everyone, but I know that my school has had JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps) since middle school. Ages 11-14, in what is essentially a junior boot camp. Then, there are the different branches of military with their recruiters lining outside of the cafeteria every day. And the recruiters are funny and personable and challenge you to test your strength on the pull-up bar they bring with them and they are tricking you. I believe this connects back to why Americans are stereotyped as gun-slinging, war-loving, stupid, global-level assholes. Because that is what our government and the handful of billionaires and CEOs with the government in their pockets want. They don't want us educated enough to know when to fight back. And it's working.

2.

Adults who admit they had a harder life when they were growing up than current kids, and call younger generations weaker because of it. As if it hasn't been humanity's entire purpose since we could first be called humans to make the life of the next generation as easy as possible. But some people can't let go of their ego long enough to see how great it is that future generations can afford to be weaker. It's the same with things like diversity, or sensitivity, or even things like health codes. They can't drop their sense of self-importance to see that each new generation is the culmination of human knowledge and experience.

>>>Sitting with your friends and hearing them talk about how they can compromise on inhumane, horrible, uncompromisable labor conditions for CHILDREN just for cheap clothes from SheIn or Temu.
