I don't plan to make this page political, but I want to share the origin of this account. 

I have been on Instagram since I was about 13, till about the end of high school, and facebook from the same age to now. With the Tiktok ban soon being enacted, I don't want to go to any meta platforms. Mark Zuckerburg supporting Donald Trump, and the recent policies he rolled out for all meta-owned platforms just made me put my foot down.

I was a kid in the early 2000's, and I remember my Mom being on Myspace all the time. And I saw all the pretty profiles, and hoped to have one in the future. I was very disappointed when I realized I would never get that, and that facebook was aesthetically lame in comparison, and nowhere close to what we had with prime myspace. 

After years of disinformation, political propaganda, flat out g0re, and other unsolicited harmful content being pumped into these sites eventually just made me stop using it with the excitement I had before.

I had made a twitter account in high school, and I followed people I was interested in, bands I liked at the time (and some still now tbh). One day, Elon decided to buy it. From there, we all know what happened to the platform. It became a pool of MAGA media, and a home for toxic mentalities.

With an itch for the best generation of social media before we could use that platform, I found spacehey, and I immediately felt at home. There are no tinfoil hat posts, no silly anti-trans rhetoric floating around, just nostalgic myspace with another name. And I'm okay with that.
