(SOLVED) Difficulties with Profile Pictures

Gosh.

For about the past ten to twenty minutes or so since I registered my account here, I've been attempting to upload my profile picture as per the instructions provided on the page dedicated for this. However, every time I do, it reportedly succeeds in doing so, and then promptly proceeds not to do so.

I have tried using both PNGs and JPEGs of varying resolutions, all well under the 2MB file size limit. Nevertheless, I encountered the same issue following all "successful" attempts.

Further research into the issue reveals that I'm not alone with this problem. However, none of the proposed solutions have worked. I will wait a while before trying again with the hopes that it will work later.

EDIT: Being patient for an hour or two seemed to do the trick and all images that fit the websites criteria now upload properly.
