Honestly, I understand people want the nostalgia and happiness they felt back then but weren’t people like, SUPER sensitive too? Like, you could say one thing and you were doxxed or put into a GC to get jumped- and if it were the 2010s you’d probably just be called slurs WHILE getting jumped in a GC!! I’m totally chill with the PFPs and stuff, but people being like “omg!! I wish it was 2020/2010 again!!” Are a tad bit insane- sure, it was super duper cool and stuff and you were happy, but a lot of things during those years were either offensive or way too soft- I still think the little comeback is cool, I just think it should calm down a tad, yknow? >_>

My thoughts on the 2010/2020 comeback on TikTok

I think one of the biggest reasons so many TikTok folks want to bring back the 2020 era is so that they can be "cringe" in peace (using the term peace veerry lightly here) You may not have have been able to breath without someone asking for a trigger warning but fandom culture was popular and people were exploring new styles and interests without having to worry about the label of "cringe" thrust upon them. Now, you can barely have a personality or style online that doesn't conform to what's popular without being sentenced to the gulag on IG reels.

Hey, I totally agree with you. Sure it was a fun time but especially in 2020 we all felt miserable. Sure it's fun to bring back the fandoms and everybody can do stuff without being judged again - cosplaying or just living out your weird interests. But at the end of the day we weren't that happy in 2020. I mean we were pretty much all locked up at home because of covid.
