Squid Games S2: a rant

how stupid can one fanbase be? truly?

at first, i was ecstatic hearing about the new season of squid games, but that quickly faded when i finished the seven episodes (which were great, this rant isn't about that) and checked tiktok to see what other people thought.

you can imagine my surprise when i saw videos claiming the "twist" at the end of s2, in-ho going back to being the frontman, was completely out of the blue. really? really? it was surprising? even worse, some people didn't even know young-il was in-ho! how?! did you close your eyes every time a game wasn't actively happening? people like that only watch the show for the hype and dgaf about the actual plot, which pisses me off bc they act like geniuses for "theorising" about things that are literally right in front of their faces.
