i want to start by saying I recently finished reading the boys and it made me take a step back and look at how similar the events are to real life in the sense that giant megacorpos control a vast majority of things and have more power than they let on.
another thing that reminds me of current events is the megacorps from cyberpunk. they treat us, the little people, as nothing but their test subjects.
corporations now don't even give it a first thought, as it has become some kind of cruel lesson passed from one corpo to another, that it's perfectly okay and reasonable to piss on us and let us go down the drain of grime and sewage all to make a quick dollar.
an example of this is the united healthcare ceo who was recently shot. the bullet casings had writings inscribed into them from a book about how the american healthcare system SUCKS. they also found his bag full of monopoly money rolled up and rubberbanded.
now, I do not advocate for wanton violence but something like what was mentioned above I will defend. just take a moment and try to put yourself into the shoes of the shooter. imagine that your, as an example, dad is dying of cancer and needs healthcare insurance. you apply at united healthcare and this greedy corp, which has a 38 percent denial rate (if my numbers are correct) and as a result, your father cannot get the healthcare insurance he needs. i am sure that the uhc shooter was not thinking clearly with a sound and sane mind but this isn't just some random shooting done on the street.
this was a planned hit and the shooter probably did his fair share of research to find this ceo. to add to that, the words inscribed on the bullet and the rolled-up monopoly money must mean something.
moving on from that, I want to talk about the election. i wanted to wait for some time to pass so it doesn't seem like I'm merely jumping on the bandwagon for likes and views and all that unimportant shit. i am thoroughly displeased, to say the LEAST, about the result of the election. i am extremely afraid of what will happen to individuals who are a part of the lgbtq+ community, such as myself. as an example of this is something that happened to a very close friend of mine, whom I consider my brother, back in 2016. he was cornered by idiotic right-wing republicans who threatened to wrap him in a pride flag and BURN. HIM. ALIVE.
i have friends who have been jumped by people of the same cut of cloth. i am horrified to walk around town without my smiley or my knife. i have had my life and safety threatened by the idiotic republican cowboy fools who live in my town. i have endured prejudice and verbal assault and nearly had to break a man's arm to protect myself.
i cannot understand the concept of hating an individual for being a part of the lgbtq+ community. i don't understand why all of the radical idiots of this generation cannot look past and develop a personality that isn't designed by their idiotic and prejudiced predecessors. there is no reason to harbor and nurture this kind of hate into future generations.
i think that having trump back in office is an awful idea and will only bring more agony for people like me. he is an idiotic bigoted criminal who only wants to elevate his ideas and essentially eradicate people who disagree by having his supporters so brainwashed they become his minions.
as a side tangent, I cannot understand the fact that you cannot vote as a felon but you can run for president as a felon. i am not saying every felon is bad and none of them should vote but everyone with a partially developed sense of intelligence can see that having this orange ballon in office on top of the fact that he has willingly committed felonies, further proves that he is an inadequate president-elect.
secondly, addressing the political topic but not so much the election. i think that the whole idea of republicans and democrats is a systematic way to keep the american people separated in ideologies by causing conflict in order to keep them from putting their heads together and seeing that megacorps and the government is at fault. if we didn't have political parties, we wouldn't have as much 'republican this, democrat that' and there wouldn't be as NEARLY as much conflict as their currently is today.
lastly, I want to end it off on a light note by giving you guys a view into my perception of societal constructs. firstly, I do not believe in the concept of time, as it is a construct designed to merely perceive the orbit of the earth around the sun. it makes no sense to me, but to each there own. secondly, I do not believe in the concept of gender. i identify as having no gender, but I use male pronouns to avoid confusion. the concept of gender was created to address 'societal roles' and to explain human biology. i don't think that an individual's gender is constricted to what we as humans have created. my gender is nothing but another person might believe that their gender has no possible definition. we created these terms to try and label things but only we as the individual can label ourselves.
thank you guys for putting up with my insanity and I hope you enjoy reading this. if you reply to this post with animosity and bigotry, unfriend me and block me because you're only making a fool of yourself and I have absolutely no desire to even be connected to such idiotic fools.
thanks for reading to those who read this all <3
