Okay so like, I recently looked at a Tik Tok right. It was about how communicating directly can be often viewed as aggression. It made me think about how I handle things in life yk. Its been a habit of mine to disregard and shut people out with aggression lol. Being passive aggressive. I've always kinda kept my mouth shut about things that bug me. Think before I speak, but I never end up speaking. I'd like to be more direct honestly. Like obviously not rude, but direct and mature. Communication has kinda gone out the window these days with fear of offending someone and honestly it's whatever. Certain things you'll feel the need to communicate, I can't control how people really. Humans are complicated, but I want to do what's best for me, but still being cordial to others as human beings. Not everything is a personal attack, I'd like to unlearn that habit that many people have. I've fallen victim to that mindset a couple of times myself.

Communication, protecting your peace vs aggression

i can definitely relate to being passive aggresive, but i find myself being (overly) direct too. I think it depends on who I'm talking to, to my parents I either stay silent or storm off. To my friends, I speak very directly and blunt to the point that sometimes I end up accidentally hurting their feelings. I don't always realise that what I say can hurt my friends, especially because they're the types to really listen to other people rather than trust their own judgement. And to people I'm not close to, I get even more direct and confrontational and it's caused some problems. What i'm trying to say is that we have basically the same problem, just in different directions :v
Seems we do! Being direct with communication is good imo. That effort should still be appreciated and shouldn't be automatically be dubbed as confrontation in most cases. Talking things out isn't too popular I've noticed with how much things have been have on edge. That's a whole nother can of worms though.
