Thoughts:

Despite the wrapped itself being a tad underwhelming this year, I am happy with my stats and expected a good chunk of this. Shocked my week-long ICP binge got them into my top 5. (FYI, Twitching Tongues was my number 6 and would have been 5 if I wasn't down with the clown.) I expected more death metal, but I am very happy with all the NOLA representation. I am fully expecting Down to be in next year's.

If we were able to count my CD listens, YouTube, and Spotify after November, I think Bolt Thrower and Black Flag would have a noticeable presence in both the artists and songs category. Twitching Tongues would 100% beat out ICP. That was my sleep album (funnily enough with the name) for a while. Speaking of Sleep, Dopesmoker, while I love that song, will never reach my wrapped. Even if I Listen to it an equal amount as Slayer, that'll still only be 14 streams! (840/60=14). Other songs that would be helped by sleep would be Fear Factory's Descent, and Danzig's How the Gods Kill. See, I have a nifty artifact called the 'How The Gods Descend". It is a CD with roughly this tracklist.

  • Descent
  • How the Gods Kill
  • Descent
  • How the Gods Kill
  • Descent
  • How the Gods Kill
  • Descent
  • How the Gods Kill
  • Descent
  • How the Gods Kill
  • Descent

It is as close to 120 minutes as I could get it, and I listened to it for about a month straight every night. I am thankful this was not tracked.
