im obsessed

Literally nobody will ever make me hate european Romanticism.

For those IGNORANT (kidding) that dont know what that is, it's a literature, artistic and cultural in general movement that was born in Germany at the end of the 18th century and lived through the first half of 19th.

Literally the BEST ever.

The Enlightment can suck Romanticism's dick so HARD it pulls the skin out and leave him to bleed ONG.

Because wdym it's all related to the feelings and emotions and not rationality???? The tension towards the infinite???? The characters that are emarginazed by the society??? Femme Fatales??? The horror and morbid???? GOTHIC LITERATURE????

love romanticism till the day my corpse turns into DUST.

peace out, xoxo

Camix.

ngl it was hard to me to enjoy Romanticism at first, cuz i was introduced to it through early Pushkin and i kinda dislike him in general:even though only his early work leans into Romanticism, in my head he became the face of the movement in Russia for some reason, and he's just a bit over the top for me in general , even the Realism-leaning "Eugene Onegin" feels like drama for the sake of drama and has nothing in common with, say, Dostoevsky's version of Realism. Now I'm mostly cool with it, i honestly think it's just him specifically, his contemporaries' work is much more enjoyable.
Also I actually never realised Lermontov is technically part of the movement, although that should've been pretty obvious
