Vladimir Gusev from Krasnoyarsk Krai spoke at the trial, admitting that he was Anoufriev's "second friend", with whom he agreed on the basis of common extremist views. The young man confessed that at one time Anoufriev told him about three of the murders and had even taken him two times to "hunt", which, however, both times ended in nothing. For the first time, Vladimir agreed to go, because he did not believe that Anoufriev and Lytkin were behind the killings, and when he realized that they weren't lying, he did not report it to the police, because he was afraid that they would kill him and the girl who lived next door to Anoufriev.
