Why are certain characters based on appearance treated in specific (usually weird) ways???
The Short Rant:
That is a genuine question I have for like every single character I enjoy, specifically ones like Leon S. Kennedy for example. That is a whole GROWN ASS MAN he ain't your little kitten, he isn't a twink or any of that shit. Headcanons are one thing, but my brother in Christ that is a 40 year old man, I think he's more concerned about bills and not dying than serving cunt, hello??
Opinion/Points:
In my opinion harmless little headcanons (not that all big hcs are bad or harmful, this is just my opinion for this specific character) like sexuality and such are fine, I personally believe him to be transgender because I myself am trans and like to self project things that don't affect his narrative.
This brings me to my next point, headcanoning a character as purely something sexual based on appearance, such as calling him a femboy/twink can sort of bring bad name on people who may resemble said appearance which then makes it look okay online to just call people that. Again, there is no issues with these types of headcanons, but that applies to characters that align with it in canon.
This (and it doesn't happen often, but it does happen) can also raise misconception with new fans who only view that character like that, be it negative or positive. This can also happen with the game devs themselves and it's so FRUSTRATING!
