i've picked up reading around two years ago at this point. before that i've read like idk.. <5 books by my own wish i think..
this whole year i especially enjoyed reading different books and it felt wonderful! i was making these great reading plans and all of the sudden it just stopped.
it's been i'd say less then a month since i last had a desire to pick up a book just because i wanted to read. and it makes me so so sad that i just can't gain this enjoyment back : (
idk maybe someone can share their experience with reading slump?
i also noticed that if i don't love a book from the start (or at least after 1/3) i read it very slowly or just dnf it.
i have like.. 4 unfinished books at the moment. first two are very short and nearly finished:
1. Almost Transparent Blue by Ryū Murakami. reason: yucky
2. A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf. reason: the narration is just so slow and boring at times, i fell asleep almost all the time while reading it..
3. Circe by Madeline Miller. reason: i was sooooooo excited to read it!!! especially after the song of Achilles!!! it's one of my favorite books ever. but Circe did not give :/ it's so.. boring? and uneventful. no, i guess there are a lot of events there but they are described so fast it became very uninteresting. so im disappointed: (
4. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. reason: i started it to gain joy of reading but it just fell right into the hole of the unread

read a children's book!! it could be something nostalgic or even a new one to help you rediscover reading
