well, you don’t have to worry… 🛌
first blog post! :3
type of post: answer and advice
hai, mimi here! im here to answer your question <3
here it is: you’ve got your heart broken, and they have another person in their life that they truly love. you’re not sure what you feel; do you feel happy for them? or do you feel angry that they would leave you when they were your whole world?
which one is the right choice?
the thing is, there is no right or wrong choice! it’s okay to feel one or the other, or maybe even both at the same time! let me explain…
hold up, where are my papers?
here they are! 📁📃
firstly, is it ok to feel happy for them? yes! it is totally fine to be happy for them. you may be asking this because most people you know are angry at them. being happy for them means you love them no matter what. it shows you’re not planning to take them out of your life, and that’s ok! it’s totally up to you if you still want them in your life or not, and it’s totally ok to still be friends or acquaintances, as long as it’s not toxic.
now, is it ok to feel angry at them? also a yes! it’s very much fine to be angry. you may be asking this because most people you know are happy for them. if they hurt you, you have every right to be angry. it doesn’t matter if they hurt you during your relationship, or they hurt you when they tell you the news, it is still hurting your feelings. you have every right to remove them out of your life. after all, your feelings matter, and they can’t just play around with them.
encouragement time! 🕰️
i am proud of you. i am proud of you for being strong. i am proud of you for handling this well. it’s not easy to be strong, as someone who’s cracked a few times. i didn’t really handle my first heartbreak well, as i have attachment issues and i was struggling to let him go. but over time, i just saw him as a brother and a friend. if you’re happy for them, i am glad you still love them and care for them, just not as intense as before. and if you’re not, i am proud of you for standing up for yourself. i am proud of you for having the strength to let them go, and if you don’t (like me), that’s perfectly fine! you got this. i know you do.
life’s a problem in my hands… 🤲
