i dont really like talking about politics i quite frankly find it scary but im not that educated when it comes to it and its overwhelming but yeah with the recent trump election i have no clue how to feel, i understand that all he did was win popular vote and the electorial college thing is still going on but i feel discouraged by his decisions. i dont know what to believe regarding what is true and what is just propaganda because the internet lies, i was told to believe that trump is a horrible, sexist, racist, felon, hitler-supporting leader who said that he'd date his own daughter but i dont know what to believe anymore because in science class the other day my teacher was talking to us about politics for some reason and she was saying how most clips of trump saying heinous things are taken out of context and she sounded genuinely convinced so idk anymore. i fully wanted kamala to win but i pray that things wont be as bad as expected, and the whole queer marriage thing is scary because i have a girlfriend who i genuinely wanna marry and spend my life with (that might sound crazy considering im only 13 talking about marriage but yeah.
political stance (sorta)

Pretty much the question to ask with all politics involves the following:
- Does this affect my ability to live away from the government and most of society?
If you're able to own land, own firearms or other close-to-firearm weapons (especially stuff like cannons or crossbows), able to have privacy, and able to farm, you're good. They can have something "on the books", but they can't enforce it unless they can prove it in the US, and the Miranda Warning is just an IQ test, if they don't read that aloud then your testimony is usually voided now, and it pretty much just makes it clear you don't have to talk. Don't say anything at all to the feds, you lawyer up, then you go from there. And, if anyone else is involved, they must say nothing at all to feds either of course.
As long as the ability to farm, own land, own weapons, have privacy, and not say a word is allowed, the people win by default. Especially if there is no benefit to the elites harming the disobedient citizens. Odds are, nothing major will actually happen. We will probably be fine like the first 4 years. Honestly, if there is any reason to worry, it would probably be if JD Vance became president 2028+2032, but even that is a huge "maybe". Trump is going to be 82 by the time his presidency is done iirc, so he's not going to be around much longer. Even if he makes it to his 90s-100s, his health will inevitably get noticably worse (especially since I don't think he eats particularly healthy).
Now not sure how the whole gay-marriage thing would work if repealed, as unlikely as I find it to happen under Trump. Honestly I would go as far as to say "take the government out of marriage entirely" because it was mostly a religious thing to begin with, and the few benefits of government-marriage systems rather than it being ran by the churches, can be done through other methods.
