colorful hair and piercings don't make you alternative

i think most people tend to lump in those that wear baggy clothes, have colorful hair and piercings as alternative (though that is the most superficial part of the scene) all this to say, of course one of your favorite "alt" tiktok creators voted for trump. they are just in it for the aesthetic of it. they don't realize that as much as the scene is a form of escapism you can't escape something if you're not actively trying to do something to make that problem go away. but ofc they will never understand that their favorite bands like: My Chem, Green Day and Fall Out Boy would hate them. Especially when the members of these bands grew up listing to bands like: Black Flag, Gorilla Biscuits, Minor Threat, and NOFX.
