Concertz!

OKAY HI!!!! I feel like giving like reviews/recaps on the concerts I go to since I tend to do that often... I'm from NC for reference and I usually frequent the Charlotte and Raleigh areas. Occasionally Greensboro but tbh that's rare. 

FIRST: Some date I forgot in like 2021 I went to see Descendents and Rise Against!!! I got  Decendents setlist and OMFG was it sick!!! I'd never seen Rise Against and they were pretty good!!!

5/20/22 I saw Poppy!! I honestly don't remember much from this show, but I remember screaming so much I barely had a voice after!! I'd looked up to her for so long so seeing her then was super cool!!

5/29/22 I saw Jordana and Wallows!! I went with a dear friend who in our tough edgy pre-teen years latched onto this band and never let go. We got pretty close to the front and even received some interaction!! I cried a lot, they mean so much to me. After the show, we waited by the gates where all the tour buses were and MET THE BAND BROOO. My fav member, Braeden, spoke to me for a hot minute and I counted how many times he touched my hand. It was 5 times. Super extremely memorable I love them so. Stoked to have a show lined up in feb!!

8/26/22. the holy grail. the one and only. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE. Along with Sol Glo and Turnstile of course!! That was absolutely the best day of my life. SO FUCKING LIFE CHANGING. We had nosebleeds but that shit didn't matter to me I cried and sang and danced and felt renewed. I diy'd my own homophobia is gay shirt and drew x's over my eyes to be just like Frank. It felt like home. I was home. I still remember how it felt to hear the static of foundations when they were getting on stage, spine-chilling and hair-raising. They live debuted burn bright that night. Since that day, that song has a whole new personal meaning to me. I will never forget that day and I will always watch my toothbrush quality shitty samsung videos forever. It's truly something to be able to witness your heroes in person. 

5/21/23 M.A.G.S, Dayseeker, Sleeping With Sirens!! I am not a fan of dayseeker at all so don't come tryna talk to me abt them.. srry... BUT SWS!!!! that was an amazing show!! I crowdsurfed for the first time at that show and I met the singer for MAGS!! we got there so early and queued for at least 6 hours in the GA line. We got a decent place and it was totally worth it!! 

5/23/23 Genesis Owuso, Bloc Party, PARAMORE!!! Once again a nosebleeds experience but I could care less!!!! IT WAS SO SUPER AMAZING AND AWESOME. Once again I felt at home. I love that band with my whole heart and to hear them play decode after some millennial in front of me told me they wouldn't was fuhkin amazing!! LONG LIVE HAYLEY WILLIAMS MY WIFE!!!! Oh and me and my mom ended up on Spectrum Center's Instagram for it too!!

6/24/23 Melanie Martinez.... ik ik she's like a not so great person unfortunately BUT this was before I knew this. Me and another went with my best friend for her birthday and it was amazing. We'd all grown up on Mel and it was so healing to hear and see her live. She did only perform portals but it was SO AMAZING!! I met two pretty good friends because of how much me and my friend had been crying after the show!! So that's cool

7/21/23 Carr, Royal and the Serpent, Bring Me The Horizon, and FALL OUT BOY!!!! I fell in love with Carr that day augh shes amazing. BMTH THOOO AEUHFQEIUFGH!! They played my favorite song LosT which was like church to me I cried and screamed those lyrics so hard. THEN. FALL OUT BOY. That was my first time seeing that band and it was life-changing. When I tell you I once again felt at home.. it's true bro. I had loved that band with all my heart since I was really young so it was pretty life changing as well. OH AND when Pete got out of the box, there was a photo on their Instagram that me and my friends happened to be in the background of!!

9/9/23 Vinne C (from the movielife), Pinkshift, Gel, THURSDAY!! God what a day that was, once again felt at home. It's funny how concert atmospheres can make you feel that way. To start the day off I MET TUCKER FUCKING RULE. ONLY THE BEST DRUMMER EVER. God, I lost it. SO NORMAL. Then, we upgraded to a VIP line and met a couple people with which I am still good friends with one! shout out, Sam!! WE GOT BARRICADE. Pinkshift was amazing and Gel was amazing. VINNIE WAS SUPR CHILL. I accidentally said I loved apple juice when he was talking about alc and he giggled a bit. THURSDAYS SET GOOD LORD. THE AMOUNT I CRIED THAT DAY. All of my favorites. Tucker nodded at me too 😈 Geoff Rickley spit on my hand and I licked it off...awesome.. I love that band with my whole heart. I got a signed copy of Geoff's book and met Vinnie and Pinkshift!!

9/19/23 Grumpster, Joyce Manor, JAWBREAKER. Grumpster was the coolest shit ever, Im big into that band now. I wish they'd come back to NC. Donnie waved at me!! Joyce Manor was sick too, I wish I'd paid more attention cause I'm big into them now.  Jawbreaker was phenomenal... what a crazy thing I got to see them! I also ended up barricade for their part of the set. I got the setlist!!

3/19/24 Games We Play, Hot Mulligan, Jimmy Eat World, FALL OUT BOY!! Games We Play is so fuhkin cool, me and my best friend love that shit. We're gonna see them in 2 weeks!! Hot Mulligan sang so loud they cut the mic out. Jimmy Eat World was pretty cool for the 3 songs I remembered! THEN. FOB ROUND 2. FLOOR SEATING. BANG THE FUCKING DOLDRUMS. WHEN I TELL YOU I FUHKIN EXPLODED AND SOBBED AND SCREAMED WHEN THEY PLAYED THAT. ME AND MY BEST FRIEND ARE PETEKEYED THAT IS MY FAV FOB SONG.

 3/23/24 Pollyanna, Loveless, WATERPARKS. I MET FUCKING WATERPARKS THAT DAY. ME AND MY LITTLE SISTER MET WATERPARKS IN VIP. I'm glad I was able to provide my sister the experience of meeting her favorite band so young. That was an amazing feeling. I really like getting to share stuff like that with her. Pollyanna ripped. I called that shit on loveless tho. That Julian freak was weird from the start, I knew he was a predator. BUT PARX WHAAATTATAT I LOST ITTT. Coolest shit ever. I met a pretty good friend of mine there too. I spent so much money that day, what an amazing day!!

3/24/24 Snoozer, Queen of Jeans, ANTHONY GREEN!!!! THIS. GOD. I was at the stage, there was no barricade. Good lord. One of the best shows I'd ever been to by far. Once again home. I met Anthony after as well, ONE OF MY HEREOS. HE IS MY FUHKIN HERO. He's so sweet!! I also met Queen Of Jeans.. such an awesome day PLUS I met one of my most amazing friends Felix that night

5/31/24 Sofia Ishia, Beach Bunny, Melanie Martinez. Once again, before I knew she wasn't a good person. Trilogy tour tho.. God that was healing for little me. Just saying

7/21/24 This Wild Life, Stick To Your Guns, Armor For Sleep, Anberlin, THURSDAY, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS. Twenty Years Of Tears... Holy shit. Me and my mom were literally the first people in line bro. The dudes from Hawthorne walked by us a lot and we spoke!! THEN. THENNN. TUCKER RULE CAME TO TALK TO US AND REMEMBERED US AND GAVE US WATERS!!! I LOVE HIM MY BFF!!! that show was fucking amazing, nothing short of! I cried sm on Thursday again and Stu gave me his setlist!! TUCKER GAVE ME A DRUMSTICK. We met JT from Hawthorne at merch too!!! Super solid dude!! Also gained some amazing friends from that show, shout out Charley and Paityn!!

8/26/24 The Linda Lindas, RANCID, GREEN DAY! a moment i'd been waiting for quite a while. Green Day had always been a favorite of one and to see Dookie and American Idiot in their entierties was amazing! Rancid was super fucking cool too. I love this shit sm

9/13/24 Balu Brigada, TWENTY ONE PILOTS. Jeus fuck. One of the most healing shows I'd ever been to. It was so fucking fun. little me was once again so very happy. I CRIED SO MUCH IT WAS SO GOOD. I also turned my dad into a tøp fan >:)

10/1/24 Teenage Joans, Holding Absence, Sleeping With Sirens. My 2nd time seeing a band near and dear to my heart!! Super fucking amazing AND I got to see it with my friend FELIX!!! Cheers to this in its entirety don't fuck with me... IT WAS SO SO AWESOME

10/8/24 Step Friends, SORRY MOM. Step friends was such a cool local band!! Love those kings. BUT HOLY SHIT SORRY MOM?!?!?!?!1? I LOVE THAT DAMN BAND AND ONCE AGAIN FRONT AGAINST THAT DAMN STAGE. MET JUNO AND TARYN AND GOT THE SETLISTTTTTT WAAAH

10/18/24 Taylor Acorn, LS DUNES, Taking Back Sunday, The Used. WWWY SIDE SHOW AT FONTAINE BLEU. Seeing ls dunes was a fuhkin moment for me. I'd finally gotten to see them after a couple attempts (cough cough lsd ptv myrtle beach...) HOLY SHIT. IT WAS SO FUCKING AWESOME I LOVE LOVE LSD. I LOVE THEM SM I SOMEHOW GOT A CHUNK OUT OF MY DOC MARTEN. tbs and the used were amazing too super life changing. but that's not even the best part. I MET MY BEST ONLINE FRIEND DAKOTA THERE AWWW YAYAYA I LOVE MY BEST FRIEND!!

10/20/24 WWWY WWWY WWWY WWWY!! I saw: LS DUNES, THURSDAY, COBRA STARSHIP, TBS, THE USED, PIERCE THE VEIL, jimmy eat world, a day to remember, FOB AND AND AND AND AND MY CHEMICAL FUCKING ROMANCE. HANDS DOWN BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. BEST BIRTHDAY/GRAD PRESENT EVER. me, dakota, my mom, and dakotas dad. amazing. I MET FRERARDTRUTHER AND LUCKY!!! I was nearly barricade for dunes and god... we were so close. We were barricade for Thursday and Tucker acknowledged us!!! COBRA STARSHIP THEY BROUGHT OUT PATRICK STUMP AND TARA YUMMY. SOOSOSOSOSOSOOS COOL. FINALLY GOT TO SEE FUHKIN PTV AND GOD DID I CRY. IT FELT SO FUFILLING. FOB WAS SO FUCKIN GOOD A 3RD TIME. then. it was time. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE PLAYING THE BLACK PARADE IN FULL. That was crazy. I had the best time and we actually got pretty close to the stage. Closer than we were in the nosebleeds in raleigh. I felt home. That album saved my fucking life and it meant so much to me that I got to see it live in full for the first time in 17 years. They played Helena and NANANA as encore. Hands down the best day of my entire fucking life.
