How to stay safe once Trump takes office.

First off- don't hide if you don't have to. Live loudly and be proud of who you are, don't do their jobs for them. Be yourself unless it is unsafe for you to do so. Be loud if you can. These are for people who are unable to be themselves. If you can express yourself, DO IT. People need hope.

Who you voted for/would've voted for is private information. Don't answer that question if you don't know why you are being asked. 

If you are trans and at risk of being targeted, either: work hard as you can to pass or temporarily detransition. I'm sorry.

ORGANIZE. ORGANIZE. Organize in your community. Find or set up safe spaces. Reach out. 

Dress low-key. If it's not safe for you to be alternative, then don't dress like you are.

If you're queer, don't post your face on the internet if you can help it. Stay alive and stay queer in any way you can. 

Political talk? Nope. Ignore discussions and try to get away from any political conversations.

You no longer know your gay friend is gay. You no longer know your trans friend is trans. You no longer know your non-Christian friend is non-Christian. You no longer know your white-passing POC friend is POC.

Offer any support you can to anyone who needs it.
