2024 American Presidential Election, Project 2025.

I need to start this by first and foremost emphasizing how utterly disgusted and humiliated I am by my country's failure to keep a racist bigot out of office. People who claim that this years election was "politics, not personal" disgust me and disturb me to my core. 

Project 2025 will make abortion illegal and overturn Roe v Wade, even in instances of rape, incest, or assisted miscarriage in order to keep women alive. Right now I want you to think of every single woman in your life who you have ever loved or cared for -- they are all at risk and they will CONTINUE to be at risk until Project 2025 is abolished. 

Your mother, your aunts, cousins. Your older sister. Your younger sister. Your daughters. Your friends. Look them in the eye and let them know that even if they were raped or dying from a miscarriage, you want them to be refused care. Sit with those women as they die slowly and painfully from sepsis. Cry at their funerals and know that you could have made a choice that let them live. Women in America and across the globe are getting their rights stripped from them in front of you and you are letting it happen. The turnout of this election is not only morally reprehensible, but dangerous for the entire world. The United States of America is the world's largest superpower. We are the example, we lead the way. If we're condemning our women and pushing away immigrants, taking jobs from people of color, denying healthcare and medical assistance to women and queer people, who is to say the world won't follow? 

Times like these we must remember the women in places like Afghanistan, Kenya, and Iran. In Kenya, with women being completely denied access to any kind of abortion or contraceptive, they're resorting to giving themselves abortions with NEEDLES. Kenyan women suffer every day from rape and pregnancies derived from them, needing to resort to terrible back-alley abortions which leave them injured or dead. Or in Iran, where women are being persecuted for their modesty -- women showing too much hair are detained and condemned to an execution. However, within their law it's illegal to murder a virgin, so they rape these women, young and old, so that they can murder them without it being seen as sinful. Iran was one a freer nation, a close ally with the USA and the west. Government can and will swiftly change when corrupt men like Donald Trump put other corrupt and evil men in power. 

Even Afghanistan, once on its way to equality, has backslid from the overpowering by the Taliban. Women, once able to drive, dress how they wished, go to school, get degrees, education, etc, are now no longer allowed to leave their homes without being accompanied by a man. Along with these disgusting laws being put in place to oppress and harm women in every way possible, in the United States and the world, there is *additional* legislature that will be passed with Project 2025 that will limit and/or deny the rights of queer and transgender people to get married and receive medical care. Project 2025 can and will abolish the ability for transgender youth to receive any form of gender-affirming care, which WILL lead to the MANY suicides of American youth. Most transgender people under 18 are closeted. If you're a parent or a sibling, think of your children, your brother, your sister. Think of your friends, or any loved ones. Anyone you love could be transgender and you don't know for sure they're not. Again, it could be anyone. Project 2025 will deny them any semblance of gender-affirming care which in many cases is a LIFE SAVING FORM OF CARE. People will die and they will die of their own hands. Think of your family and friends, who you may find dead on the floor or hanging from the ceiling because of this new legislature. Of the mothers and fathers and sisters and brothers sobbing as they check the long-gone pulse of the person who kept them breathing.

Additionally, Project 2025 will purposefully target immigrants and immigrant families, separating them and damaging (if not completely undoing) the country's asylum system. Refugees from war-torn or third-world countries will be unable to flee to the United States for safety. Families who have already come here will be broken and torn apart. My father was a war refugee when he was a teenager, fleeing from Iran's revolution to Italy, then to the United States after a year. My father did that alone, without his parents. Can you imagine being a teenager, seeing the people around you die every day, constantly afraid of when you might be next? Can you imagine the fear as you leave your home, and the hope that comes with finding a country that promises to keep you safe? What if there was no country that would take you? What if that country then passed this law and sent you BACK to the war-torn shell of your home that you had fought with all of your might to leave? This will be the reality for thousands, if not MILLIONS of children, mothers, and fathers. Project 2025 risks the safety of protesters and journalists, along with our 1st amendment American rights to free speech and our right to peacefully gather and protest. We've seen examples of this rights revocation with the peaceful BLM protests from 2020 and the police brutality that aimed to shut down those peaceful gatherings. Remember George Floyd who died from this brutality and unconstitutional oppression of the American people that will be put in place again within the next four years. The education system is going to be censored and made less accessible for millions of Americans. Project 2025 will declare any LGBTQ+ content as pornography, and will revoke the Head Start program, which is the only thing that has allowed over 40 million children to receive an education in the United States. Additionally, a wide variety of books and literature will be banned in the United States under project 2025, limiting the education and freedom to learn of the American people. This violence against education is extremely reminiscent of Adolf Hitler's book burning during the Nazi regime. This is no surprise to many Americans who have been aware that Donald Trump quoted and paraphrased Hitler, saying, "I will get rid of communist vermin...I will take care of the threat from within...Migrants are poisoning the blood of our country... One people, one family, one glorious nation." Which was a near exact echo of Adolf Hitler, infamous genocidal dictator's, "I will get rid of the communist vermin...I will take care of the enemy within... Jews and migrants are poisoning the Aryan blood... One people, one realm, one leader." Project 2025 was a topic Donald J. Trump (convicted felon) shied away from during his campaign, which lead many misinformed Americans to believe he had nothing to do with it. Yet, despite his lack of public support for the project, he was the one who put the men pushing for its admittance to law in power. Donald Trump is a morally corrupt and fascist bigot who is doing all that he can behind the scenes to undermine the Constitution and oppress the American (and becoming American) people while lining his pocket and the wallets of his fellow wealthy, cisgender and heterosexual white men. 

Project 2025 is an impending curse on the American people and the world as a whole, and will be an ugly and immovable stain in history for all. I implore you, research what is happening and what will happen. People will die, rights and freedoms will be taken. Do what you can, when you can to fight for your freedom and that of those around you.
